I decided I needed a blog space to post my craft projects, knitting, zentangles, things I make for my niece Miss V, etc. The name of the blog - "a pinch, a potch, and a kiss" - is something my grandfather used to lovingly say to us grandkids and it brings back fond memories of childhood. He had a particular cadence to the phrase that I can still hear in my head and it always makes me smile.

Zentangles

In July 2011 I found the Zentangle Basics book on the clearance table at a Paper Source store in San Francisco. I had seen a reference to Zentangles on a blog a few months earlier so I knew exactly what they were and they looked like fun to try. I've been completely obsessed ever since.

I'm going to try to post them as I finish them, but to get started I'm just going to do an image dump. Enjoy.

  1. I've been hooked on them since July, too. It's an obsessive hobby, don't you think? I found a great mandala book at a Borders sale and I've posted a couple of the tangle-inspired pieces I've finished with them. I just love the repetition :) Your work is beautiful!
