I decided I needed a blog space to post my craft projects, knitting, zentangles, things I make for my niece Miss V, etc. The name of the blog - "a pinch, a potch, and a kiss" - is something my grandfather used to lovingly say to us grandkids and it brings back fond memories of childhood. He had a particular cadence to the phrase that I can still hear in my head and it always makes me smile.

Hello!

For my first post, I'm including some pictures of a butterfly mobile I made for Miss V. The butterflies were all hand-cut from scrapbook paper and there are beads hanging at the end of each strand. I planned to use an embroidery hoop to suspend them from, but then I came across a set of wood circles covered in white laminate that were perfect, and they were marked down at Michaels from like $25 to $1.99! Unfortunately, I can't remember who made them, but they're kind of like these.
